Who we are
betterPC is a one-person project born out of a simple frustration:
too many people overpay for PCs they don't understand, or throw away
perfect good old hardware because nobody told them it could run just fine.
Whether you're building a brand-new gaming rig or rescuing a DDR2 machine for a grandparent,
this site has you covered.
PC enthusiast, tinkerer, and recycler of old hardware. I've built everything from budget DDR2 office boxes to water-cooled gaming rigs — and I think everyone deserves to know what's inside their machine.
The story
Greece has millions of PCs from the 2006–2015 era sitting in storage...
No other Greek PC guide covers DDR2 and DDR3 platforms...
Prices include 24% Greek VAT and reflect what you'd actually pay locally...
No jargon without explanation. Every guide on this site is written...
Principles
Prices are estimates, labelled as such. No inflated numbers to make builds look cheap by comparison.
betterPC earns nothing from recommending specific brands. Picks are based on value and availability.
DDR2 and DDR3 machines can still serve real purposes. Helping people get more life from them is worth it.
Nothing is recommended without a check. CPU–mobo–RAM compatibility is flagged before you waste money.
Prices, availability, and part advice are grounded in the Greek and broader EU market, not the US.
Parts lists, prices, and guides are updated as the market changes. This isn't a set-and-forget site.
